The Importance of Judah (How it connects to Service)

Judah matters because Yahusha is the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10; Revelation 5:5). The line of Judah represents:

• Kingship and leadership (David’s line) — and in the Kingdom, true leadership is shown through service, not self-exaltation.
• Praise and worship — Judah means “praise” (Genesis 29:35). A life of praise is also a life that honors YAHUAH by honoring people.
• The scepter / authority — “The scepter shall not depart from Judah…” (Genesis 49:10). Authority is not permission to be served; it is a call to steward, protect, and serve.

The Importance of Asher (How it connects to Service)

Asher matters because his portion represents abundance, provision, and strengthening others—which ties directly to what service looks like in everyday life.

• “Asher’s bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.” (Genesis 49:20)
• “Let Asher be blessed… and let him dip his foot in oil… your strength shall be.” (Deuteronomy 33:24–25)

What Asher teaches us about serving well

• Service is provision: meeting real needs with what YAHUAH supplies.
• Service is excellence: “royal dainties” points to giving your best, not leftovers.
• Service is strengthening: “your strength shall be” reminds us that serving can build up others so they can stand and keep going.
