Judges 16:16 — What’s happening in this verse?

In Judges 16, Delilah is hired by the Philistine rulers to discover the “secret” of Samson’s strength. After multiple failed attempts, verse 16 describes persistent pressure:

• She pressed him “daily with her words”
• She urged him constantly
• His soul was “vexed unto death” (worn down, exhausted)

This is not only a story about a man and a woman—it is a picture of how spiritual compromise often happens: slowly, repeatedly, through constant pressure.

Samson’s strength was never “magic hair.” It was tied to YAHUAH’s setting-apart (Nazirite) calling.
