Purpose

• To know YAHUAH through the prayers, praise, and wisdom in Psalms.
• To learn how to lament, repent, trust, and worship in every season.

Before you begin

• Ask: What do I believe about YAHUAH right now?
• Look for: Who is speaking, what is happening, and what is being asked of YAHUAH.
• Note: Psalms include poetry. Expect imagery, repetition, and strong emotions.

Psalm study template (copy for any Psalm)

Psalm:

1. Read
   • Read the Psalm aloud 2 times.
   • Write 3 words or phrases that stand out.
2. Observe
   • What is the main emotion in this Psalm?
   • What problem is described?
   • What does the writer say about YAHUAH’s character?
   • What is promised, warned, or commanded?
3. Interpret
   • What is the central message in one sentence?
   • What does this Psalm teach about trust, obedience, and righteousness?
   • If this is a lament, where does the “turn” toward hope happen?
4. Apply
   • What do I need to start, stop, or continue?
   • What lie does this Psalm correct?
   • What truth will I speak over my life this week?
5. Pray
   • Turn the Psalm into a personal prayer.
   • Write a 2–4 sentence prayer here:
