Teaching Focus: Power is the ability to act. Authority is the legal right to act. In Scripture, true power and true authority begin with YAHUAH. He rules over heaven and earth, and every other authority must answer to Him. Believers do not create authority for themselves. They receive authority through Messiah, walk in it by faith, and remain safe in it through obedience, humility, and submission to YAHUAH.

Understanding Power and Authority

• Power speaks of strength, might, ability, and divine force. YAHUAH has power because nothing is too hard for Him.
• Authority speaks of right, rule, dominion, command, and permission. YAHUAH has authority because He is Creator, King, Judge, and Owner of all things.
• Yahusha’s authority is complete. Matthew 28:18 teaches that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him.
• Believers walk in delegated authority. This means the authority belongs to YAHUAH and is released through Messiah to those who belong to Him.
• Authority must stay submitted. A person cannot rightly use spiritual authority while resisting the Word, walking in pride, or refusing correction.

Key Teaching Principle

Authority without submission becomes rebellion. Power without love becomes danger. But power and authority under YAHUAH become protection, deliverance, witness, and Kingdom service.

God's Power and Authority

Teaching and Understanding: YAHUAH is not powerful because someone gave Him power. He is power. He is not King because someone voted Him in. He is King because He created all things and all things belong to Him. Every throne, ruler, principality, government, and spiritual power is beneath His command.

Matthew 28:18 - "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'"

Romans 13:1 - "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God."

1 Chronicles 29:11 - "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all."

Psalm 62:11 - "God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: that power belongs to God."

Isaiah 40:29 - "He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."

Yahusha’s Power and Authority

Teaching and Understanding: Yahusha does not operate as a lesser authority. He carries the authority of the Father. He forgives sin, commands unclean spirits, conquers death, and rules over every principality and power. To be complete in Him means the believer does not need to seek identity, covering, or spiritual rank outside of Him.

Luke 4:36 - "Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, 'What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.'"
