Purpose: A scripture-grounded, high-level breakdown of the Authority of YAHUAH (the Most High) and YAHUSHA (Messiah), and how that authority functions in creation, salvation, judgment, and the life of believers.

1) Definitions (What “authority” means)

• Authority is the right to rule, command, appoint, judge, and enforce outcomes.
• In Scripture this includes:
  • Sovereignty (ultimate rule)
  • Kingship (rightful government)
  • Law and covenant (standards that bind)
  • Power to save and destroy
  • Judicial authority (to judge righteously)

2) The Authority of YAHUAH (Supreme and unmatched)

A. Creator authority (ownership by creation)

• YAHUAH’s authority begins with being Creator of all.
• Because He made all things, He has rightful claim over:
  • life and breath
  • time and seasons
  • nations and kings
  • heaven and earth

B. Kingship and throne authority

• YAHUAH is the Most High, enthroned above all.
• No power exists that can overrule Him.
• All human authority is delegated and accountable to Him.

C. Authority of Torah (instruction, order, and righteousness)

• YAHUAH’s authority is expressed through His Word, commandments, judgments, and statutes.
• His instruction establishes:
  • what is set-apart and what is unclean
  • what is justice and what is oppression
  • what is covenant faithfulness and what is rebellion

D. Authority over salvation and mercy

• YAHUAH has authority to:
  • forgive
  • show mercy
  • redeem
  • restore covenant relationship
• His mercy does not cancel righteousness. He remains both merciful and just.

E. Authority over judgment

• YAHUAH alone holds final authority to:
  • weigh hearts
  • expose hidden works
  • reward righteousness
  • punish wickedness
