Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Numbers 23:24 (KJV)
This verse is part of Balaam's second oracle blessing Israel. Balak, king of Moab, hired Balaam to curse Israel, but God turned the curses into blessings. Here, Balaam prophesies about Israel's strength and victory over their enemies.
"Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion"
"and lift up himself as a young lion"
"he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain"
