Main truth: YAHUAH forbids His people from seeking mediums, necromancers, spiritists, diviners, or the dead. His people are commanded to seek Him, test every voice by His Torah and testimony, and walk in the light of His Word.

Teaching Aim

By the end of this teaching, the listener should understand:

Foundational Scripture: Isaiah 8:19-22

Isaiah 8:19

“And when they say to you, ‘Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,’ should not a people seek their Elohiym? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?”

This verse exposes the wrong invitation: “Go inquire of mediums.” YAHUAH answers with a holy question: should not His people seek Him? The living should not seek the dead for guidance.

Isaiah 8:20

“To the Torah and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

This is the standard of discernment. Every voice must be tested by YAHUAH’s instruction and testimony. If it does not agree with His Word, there is no dawn, no light, and no truth in it.

Isaiah 8:21-22

“They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry… Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they will be driven into darkness.”

Those who reject YAHUAH’s Word and seek forbidden spiritual sources move into distress, anger, confusion, darkness, and anguish.
